Install Mojara

Mojara is intended to be used as a Mojo library with its own mojara application command. You should not need to clone the framework repository, download its source archive, or run internal build scripts to create a website.

What installation provides

The package provides:

  • Importable Mojo framework modules such as App, Request and Response.
  • The mojara CLI for application creation, development and builds.
  • Native runtime components required by the installed platform.
  • Starter templates for web and API applications.

Package-manager installation

Mojara's planned distribution is a versioned Conda-compatible package for Mojo 1.2. Once the public package is published, the installation command will be provided here with the actual package-channel address.

The source ZIP is for people working on Mojara itself. It is not the intended way to install the library into a new application.

After installing

Create a web application:

mojara new hello-world web
cd hello-world
mojara dev

To create an API application:

mojara new hello-api api
cd hello-api
mojara dev

Continue with Hello World and Routing.
